Summary You will serve as a VISUAL INFORMATION SPECIALIST in the Combat Camera Section (COMCAM) of Marine Corps Service Support Schools (MCCSSS), TRAINING COMMAND (TRNGCMD) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND (TECOM). Duties You will oversee all aspects of visual information projects prepare plans, set resupply levels for consumables and analyze project requirements based on client specifications. You will research and design digital graphics, visual information mediums, and infographics and motion graphics for recommendation. You will receive requests for visual information material, discuss project plans and assess original materials. You will create designs that accurately convey ideas as well as translate information into original graphics and layouts independently. You will plan layout and typographical formats for visual materials and create technical illustrations and ensure factual accuracy through collaboration with subject matter experts. You will advise Combat Graphics Specialists and manage project timelines. You will review graphics for quality control before completion. You will keep customers informed about project progress and modifications. You will identify equipment needs and submit purchase requests for visual information tools as well as report any broken equipment and coordinate repairs. You will adhere to safety regulations and promptly report any workplace hazards or incidents. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be a US Citizen. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision. This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector as a Visual lead responsible for a wide range of visual arts, methods, techniques to design, display, and produce; interpreting items, processes, concepts, and ideas using pictures, models, and diagrams; AND providing written and oral advice and guidance to customers. Education In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
I have successfully completed master's or equivalent graduate degree or
I have successfully completed 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or
I have successfully completed LL.B. or J.D., if related to the position being filled or
I have a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
