Job description

Overview:
Responsible for ensuring that the proper commodities are shipped on time to support the customer's production schedule. Uses knowledge of the operation, available resources and critical data to make judgments regarding the appropriate timing of the release of maximum shipment quantities without negatively impacting operations. Responsible for maintaining current knowledge of departmental/organizational policies/procedures, customer requirements and other applicable regulations to ensure compliance.

Responsibilities:
• Enforce all corporate policies and compliance to all procedures.
• Ensure that standards and procedures are optimized for improved performance, increase profitability within assigned areas(s) through productivity controls, error proofing, and

continuous improvement.
• Responsible for the reports related with the area in terms of: finance, production, quality, planning, personnel, etc
• May participate in budget creation and may be responsible for creation of monthly billing reports.
• Generates and implements cost reduction plans.
• Supports business plan objectives and any n corporate objectives.
• Follow up on customer and supplier inquiries.
• Review and audit operation procedures.
• Participate in training plan for department employees and HR performance reviews.
• Notify Manager of any problem with the system that may affect operations and client.
• Control operation(s) to ensure heightened customer satisfaction levels.
• Ensure department is following ISO certification requirements as required.
• Review and update the operation procedures when needed.
• Ensure satisfactory completion and resolution to department 8D problem reports in area. Including analyzing issues in assigned areas for Root Cause analysis and error prevention.
• Participate in and may lead Continuous Improvement Projects within assigned areas.
• Support Customer and Supplier visits and new client inquiries.
• Manage KPI's as assigned including Overtime and team productivity metrics. Utilize department KPI's to manage operational needs.
• Remove roadblocks that prevent achievement of department objectives.
• Provide coaching, training and development wherever possible to improve knowledge and performance levels within the department.
• Coordinate meetings with the personnel on a regular basis to resolve problems through the implementation of the action plans for the containment, corrections, prevention of

internal and external problems.
• Understand and enforces adherence to product handling procedures, especially in regards to product identification and physical and system location procedures.
• Adjust personnel levels based on operation needs.
• Proactively listen to and act on employee suggestions, HR concerns and foster career development.
• Keep Team members aware of department issues and changes in corporate policies.
• Participate in the investigation and report safety incidents.
• Keep all communication boards up to date.
• Work on special projects as assigned

Qualifications:
General Qualities

• Ability to manage people departments and foster teamwork
• Ability to understand quality documents
• Ability to understand KPI's
• Knowledgeable of 5s and Lean Manufacturing Principles

Education and Experience

• Associate Degree or higher preferred
• Minimum 5 years experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

Pay Range:
USD $80,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
