Bennett Aerospace Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, and a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Scientist X in Vicksburg, MS. This position supports the research required to meet the needs of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Environmental Laboratory (EL), Environmental Processes Branch (EP-P) Environmental Genomics and Systems Biology Team (EGSB) in execution of its mission. Performs a variety of laboratory and field procedures using established methods and techniques. Interprets routinely collected data and has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Conducts experiments, some moderately complex, and collects field samples. Conducts and interprets routine analytical data. Collects a variety of samples (gases, soils, water, waste etc.). Adapt existing methods to novel application areas. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Position Responsibilities: Prepare the modeling framework developed during this program for transition to DoD and other federal partners of this technology. Finalize integration of toxicological modeling activities into the course forecasting model code in a rigorous and justifiable manner that preserves its risk interpretation. Adjust the proprietary constraint-based routing optimization algorithm (named WAYNE) to operate on a number of demonstration scenarios. Transition this work to federal code developers for software development and to answer technical questions relating to model development and execution, data structures, database query and integration with modeling code(s). Produce final versions of technical documentation about the product(s). No travel required. Position Requirements: Master's Degree (Graduate degree in Computer Science or other related field) Years Experience: 20+ years of experience in the field or related area, or a combination of education and experience Security Requirements: Background check Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and must meet eligibility and suitability requirements.
