INDUS supports the planning, coordination, and installation activities of Combat System and Command, Control, Communications, Computer, and Intelligence (C5I) Systems in aircraft carriers, and other strike group or strike force units (including but not limited to LHA, LHD, LPD, and other L-Class units). Our team is directly responsible for supporting the planning, budgeting, and execution of New Construction (SCN) testing and modernization efforts on Amphibious ship Combat Systems for Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD), Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department, Amphibious Combat Systems. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Amphibious Ship Alignment Test Technician provides support to the Alignment Test Manager in preparing test documentation and administering test procedures in support of Modernization and Installation Department (N Department), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Port Hueneme Division (PHD) on the CVN/L-Class Support Services contract. This position is located in Pascagoula, MS. What You'll Do Provide general support and coordinate directly with the Alignment Test Manager for various test events and documentation requirements. Provide assistance to Government & HII shipyard teams during conduct of shipboard tests in-port and underway. Prepare documentation in support of test plans, briefs, and assist in schedule updates. Assist Government Alignment Test Manager in the development of detailed Alignment Procedures from manufacturer supplied documentation for advanced systems to facilitate initial shipboard deployment. Work under the assigned test leads in scheduling and reporting of their status to onsite Government leads. Prepare and schedule adequate meeting locations for working groups in preparation for test events. Provide technical guidance on precision alignment issues associated with the following systems: Combat, Aviation, Navigation, C4I, Hull, and Mission. Assist Government alignment manager with development, update, and executing alignment tests. Assist in preparing daily underway situation reports for PMS377 leadership. Assist Alignment Manager during at-sea trial work up & execution (Dock, BT, AT, FCT) Assist in documentation detailing testing issues requiring resolution or involvement from the Hull Manager. Provide day-to-day administration of test events. Develop draft test summary email every day during an active test event window. Bid and proposal support if requested. Other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required (additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree). At least five (5) years of experience providing combat systems test, engineering, or integration support services. Must be able to support travel to work and ride aboard Navy ships (and/or working in a heavy industrial area for short periods of time and/or travel to ship homeports as required for testing). Excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan, coordinate and execute project activities on schedule. Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem-solving skills. Must possess strong time management skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking. The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing, or recurring and considerable walking, stooping, bending, crouching, and climbing such as in performing regular shop activities, inspections, or to observe and study operations in an industrial or comparable work area or on-board submarines and in weapon facilities. Travel Required 10% travel required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future. Desired Qualifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Knowledge of shipboard navigation and combat system alignment principles.
