Expected Hours of Work:

This position is full-time. The general scheduled workdays are Monday through Friday, plus overtime when required.


Position Overview:


This role is ideal for an experienced, energetic, and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic, growing company. As the Production Manager, you will lead the Production teams for Marvel and U-Line, ensuring the highest levels of operational efficiency. Your responsibilities include effectively managing your team, communicating recurring production challenges to upper management, and providing troubleshooting and technical support when needed. You will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing overall production quality and efficiency through exceptional leadership and operational oversight.

Responsibilities:


  • Achieve output goals each month.
  • Manage labor efficiency based on weekly/monthly production requirements
  • Manage plant production, facilities and maintenance operations to include managing/coaching production supervisory staff and plant associates.
  • Establish production processes to meet customer requirements by meeting Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets; establish countermeasures when targets due not be goal.
  • Attention and focus on building quality into products.
  • Work with Engineering teams on the rollout of New Product Development projects.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing implementation and process improvement (Kaizen) activities at worksite.
  • Facilitate MDI meetings for each production department
  • Assure compliance with OSHA requirements while promoting a safe and secure workplace.
  • Development of financial budgets and capital investment.
  • Implement cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.
  • Manage capital asset maintenance.
  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for production and quality standards.
  • Control and minimize labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives.
  • Implements and maintains preventative maintenance programs.
  • Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations or Supply Chain management preferred.
  • Seven or more years in progressive manufacturing leadership roles with demonstrated track record on safety improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and demonstrated ability to focus on process improvement and achieve results. Able to implement improvement and communicate / teach operations team.
  • Demonstrated leadership, project management, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to instill teamwork, delegate effectively, and build collaborative relationships.
  • Hands on management style that exhibits intensity and integrity, willingness to learn as well as teach others.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite


Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in office, lab and shop floor environment; occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
