Position: Senior Accountant

Our Client, a industry leading construction organization, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Grand Rapids, MI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Oversee the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts and perform account analysis
• Prepare and file tax returns, including sales tax, use tax, and property tax returns
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor and customer relationships
• Develop and manage the annual budget and forecasting process
• Provide financial analysis and support to management, including identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth
• Ensure compliance with all internal control procedures and audit requirements

Senior Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with experience in the construction industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, SAP)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Compensation: $65,000 - 80,000 annually with bonus potential.
