Alera Group Midwest, formerly Lighthouse Insurance group is seeking a Customer Service Representative to join our Property & Casualty team.

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to our clients, handling inquiries, processing policy changes, and supporting the overall operations of our Personal Insurance department. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person promptly and
  • Assist clients with policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and
  • Provide detailed information about P&C insurance products, coverage options, and policy terms.
  • Process new insurance applications and ensure accurate data entry into the
  • Assist with claims processing and follow-up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate client records and documentation.
  • Support the sales team by providing quotes and policy recommendations to potential clients.
  • Handle billing inquiries and assist clients with payment processing.
  • Stay up to date with industry regulations, company policies, and changes in insurance products.
  • Provide administrative support to the P&C insurance department as needed.
  • Performs other duties and projects as necessary.


  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Capable of using software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Currently licensed or willing to obtain the required industry licensure.
