Accounts Payable Specialist

Position: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Grand Rapids, MI

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Accounts Payable Specialist in Grand Rapids, MI.

Responsibilities:

Manage the full cycle of the accounts payable process for the company, including reviewing and processing vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
Ensure accurate coding, proper approvals, and adherence to the firm's policies and procedures.
Conduct regular reconciliation of vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Coordinate with attorneys and staff to verify billing codes and ensure the accuracy of expenses.
Process payments to vendors, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement.
Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions and related documentation.
Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in a law firm or legal environment.
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
