Job Description: Floor Manager at Malibu Jacks Reports to: General Manager Full-Time, Hourly Position

We are hiring four Floor Managers, one of whom must have experience with technical operations.

Job Summary

The Floor Manager is essential in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficient workflow, excellent customer service, and effective staff supervision. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment while maximizing the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
  • Train and mentor staff to maintain high service standards.
  • Monitor customer interactions and implement improvements based on feedback.

Staff Supervision:

  • Oversee daily activities of floor staff, ensuring optimal coverage through shift scheduling and task assignments.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement training programs.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.

Operational Efficiency:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the floor area.
  • Address operational issues promptly and implement corrective measures.
  • Coordinate with other managers for smooth operations.

Inventory and Supplies:

  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for restocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and audits to prevent shrinkage.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of all products and supplies.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and submit regular reports on customer feedback and staff productivity.
  • Communicate effectively with management and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Address and escalate significant issues to higher management as necessary.

Visual Presentation:

  • Ensure the floor area is visually appealing and adheres to company standards.
  • Update and display promotional materials and signage effectively.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform other tasks as necessary to meet the operational needs of the business.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; experience in retail, hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
  • Experience with restaurant management or HR is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and point-of-sale systems.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Work Environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
