Job description

Olive Recruiting is looking for an Operations Manager of Rigging for a client in Atlanta, GA. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage field teams consisting of drivers and riggers ensuring safety and precise project completion, while also interacting with clients.

Location: Atlanta, GA

Full-time, direct hire with client

Schedule: Variable pending project demands (Standard hours are 6:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, attending status meetings, addressing billing and quality issues, and resolving any concerns.

Oversee all aspects of rigging operations, including job site management and crew dispatch.

Drive continuous process improvement by enhancing workflows, procedures, and performance expectations.

Develop, plan, and implement schedules for rigging crews in alignment with customer needs.

Direct the workforce to achieve operational goals related to volume, cost, quality, safety, and timelines.

Supervise one or more foremen, leads, and administrative staff directly.

Participate in hiring, coaching, training, and evaluating rigging, crating, and installation crews, applying best management practices.

Train and instruct crews on best practices and procedures, with a strong focus on safety.

Collaborate closely with safety personnel to coordinate safety training, investigate accidents and injuries, and report on incidents involving equipment or property damage.

Foster a strong safety culture among employees.

Work professionally with other onsite subcontractors and vendors.

Effectively manage site projects by organizing project information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Participate in selecting rigging and installation equipment.

Oversee the purchase and maintenance of day-to-day rigging and installation tools and equipment.

Actively engage in leadership and management meetings.

Build strong relationships with customers and employees through excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Develop effective connections with customers, business partners, and support staff.

Exhibit professional conduct that aligns with the company mission, vision, and values.

Collaborate with the Regional General Manager to address customer complaints by investigating issues, developing solutions, and preparing reports.

Assist the Regional General Manager with job walks and customer bids/estimates to ensure accurate project pricing.

Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, establishing networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Stay informed about industry trends and market developments.

Review plans and technical documents, answer questions about project scope and timing, and monitor costs and progress.

Assist in developing cost estimates or tentative schedules as needed.

Plan, manage, and complete assigned projects that may span multiple functional areas, including facilities, operations, and administration.

Handle various assignments of differing lengths and complexities.

Provide work direction to individuals supporting a project.

Communicate directly with contractors, designers, and owners regarding project costs, staffing, and schedules.

Prepare project status reports and ensure adherence to contract specifications.

Qualifications:

High school diploma required; additional education in Business, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus.

At least ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in Rigging Operations management or a related field, ideally within the construction or trade services industry.

Strong experience using Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
