Firmwide Outsourced Solutions and Managed Services Manager, Change/Release Manager

RSM is a leading provider of audit, tax, and consulting services to middle-market businesses and entrepreneurs across a broad range of industries. RSM's Outsourced Solutions and Managed Services team provides a strategic bridge between business development, practice leadership, customers, and internal operations. This newly created team offers the opportunity to work in a startup type environment and help build the offering from the beginning and help shape the future of the Managed Services Practice. We are currently seeking a Change and Release Manager for our Managed Services Practice.

A Change and Release Manager plays a vital role in overseeing the planning, scheduling, and control of changes and releases to IT systems. This role ensures that changes are implemented smoothly and efficiently, minimizing disruption to services. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential for managing the change and release processes and ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and manage the change and release management processes.

Plan and coordinate the implementation of changes and releases to IT systems.

Ensure that changes are thoroughly tested and documented before deployment.

Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to assess the impact of changes.

Monitor and report on the status of changes and releases.

Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify areas for improvement.

Maintain a change and release calendar to ensure timely and coordinated deployments.

Manage risks and issues related to changes and releases.

Ensure compliance with change and release management policies and procedures.

Provide training and support to teams on change and release management processes.

Key Deliverables:

Change and release management plans and schedules.

Detailed change and release documentation.

Impact assessments and risk mitigation plans.

Post-implementation review reports.

Change and release status reports.

Training materials and user guides.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in change and release management or a related role.

Strong organizational and project management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in change and release management tools and software (e.g., ITIL, ServiceNow).

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks is a plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $86,100 - $162,800

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
