Description:

Coordinate projects: Own project plans, ensuring tasks are properly tracked and completed. Partner with team members to resolve blockers and manage risks to on-time delivery.

Backlog management and planning: Maintain the design system backlog, working closely with design management on prioritization and timing.

Component tracking: Monitor the status of design system components across various platforms. Maintain a comprehensive view in partnership with Design and Engineering management.

Manage team-to-team collaboration: Coordinate contributions to the design system from multiple teams. Manage team support channels and ensure rapid resolution of issues.

Improve processes: Define and standardize new processes to streamline collaboration between cross-functional teams supporting the Design System.

Meeting facilitation: Lead key meetings such as team retrospectives, planning sessions, and cross-functional forums. Ensure that these meetings run smoothly and achieve their goals.

Own communications: Manage communication efforts regarding the Gestalt Design System to the broader Design organization. Ensure updates, news, and relevant information are disseminated clearly and effectively.

Details About the Role:

Primarily serving the Gestalt Design Team

Coordinate projects and deliverables

Backlog management

Team-level planning

Meeting facilitation: managing office hours, Retrospectives, etc.

Triage and routing support requests

Also coordinates with 3 Engineering teams on a regular basis

Managing team-to-team collaboration

Potential partnership with a TPM in the future, right now this is not staffed

Since this is a horizontal function in design, there's an predictably unpredictable amount of collaboration and requests from other Design Teams and This role would help manage and track those

Candidate Requirements:

Experience: 2+ years of experience as a producer or in a similar program management role

Skills:

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Collaborative mindset, able to work cross-functionally

Proficiency in JIRA or other project management tools

Preferred:

Familiarity with design systems and component libraries

Experience with Scrum, Agile, or PMP methodology

Familiarity with cross-functional teams and engineering processes

Top 3 Must-Have Skills:

1.Design Program Management / Design Ops Experience: Essential for managing design operations and coordinating deliverables.

2.Design System Experience: A huge plus for effectively managing and contributing to the Gestalt Design System.

3.Scrum, Engineering, or Cross-Functional Experience: A bonus to help facilitate collaboration between design and engineering teams.
