Job description

Beacon Hill has partnered with a local non-profit organization in the search for their next Staff Accountant. This individual will have a large role in the month-end closing process and will be responsible for processing bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations. The ideal will candidate will be comfortable working within the general ledger and must also assist in annual audit preparations. This is a hybrid role that will require multiple days in-office at their DC location. If interested, please apply with your most up-to-date resume!

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares monthly close of all companies to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Ensures that accruals are made appropriately each month.
• Works with Controllers to obtain all necessary information and explanations.
• Ensures compliance with Management Services Agreements.
• Ensures accurate accounting including opening balance sheets, subsequent adjustments to B/S and MSA, etc.
• Ensures all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and supported by valid detail.
• Reviews monthly Reporting Packages for accuracy, reasonableness and completeness.
• Ensures timely submission of Reporting Packages to Controllers for review.
• Responds to Controller inquiries in a timely manner. Meets Corporate reporting deadlines.
• Provides various reporting as requested by Controllers.
• Ensures accuracy and completeness of fixed assets records including depreciation. Implements new fixed asset system.
• Assists in the annual budgeting process.
