Duties Serves as a Special Assistant to the Under Secretary for Intelligence and Analysis; Ensures the Under Secretary is prepared and successful in all meetings and engagements, to include providing briefing materials, logistics support, coordination on significant events, and identifying and following-through on taskings; Manages, coordinates, and executes special projects as determined by the Under Secretary, Principal Deputy Under Secretary, and Chief of Staff; Serves as Staff Action Officer to the Under Secretary on travel; Augment other Front Office staff as needed; and All other duties as assigned by the Under Secretary, Principal Deputy Under Secretary, or Chief of Staff. Requirements Conditions of Employment Must be able to hold a TS/SCI Security Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) and is covered by the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters Drug-Free Workplace Program. Qualifications Specialized Experience: Judgment, integrity, and ethical behavior beyond reproach; Ability to interact with senior level personnel and successfully represent I&A equities; Energetic individual with experience in prioritizing and following-through on multiple taskings; Ability to report to St. Elizabeths and adjust to changes of regular duty hours, travel, and work overtime as required. Additional information This is a temporary appointment position that is classified in the Excepted Service under Title 50 and will be filled on a full-time permanent basis. Employees hired under an Excepted Service appointment may be required to serve a two (2) year trial period.
