JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a highly experienced CWMD (Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction) Operational Planning Team (OPT) Support Specialist to assist in the development, coordination, and execution of CWMD plans and operations. This position supports USSOCOM's mission to control, defeat, disable, and dispose of WMD in alignment with DoDD 2060.02. The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in CWMD planning in a DoD Joint organization or Inter-Agency equivalent and will be responsible for assisting in policy development, strategic planning, and synchronization of communications efforts for USSOCOM. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide expert assistance to the Operational Planning Team (OPT) in developing and coordinating plans and courses of action for CWMD operations in support of DoDD 2060.02.
Support USSOCOM in communications planning as part of CWMD operations and strategy.
Assist in building content for the SOCOM Information Environment (SIE) Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with the CWMD mission and synchronization objectives.
Review internal and external CWMD policy, strategy, and doctrine documents to ensure compliance with USSOCOM J6/CIO policy, strategy, and doctrine.
Draft CWMD-related SIE policies and assist in the development of goals and objectives to integrate with USSOCOM J10 Command, Control, Communications, Computers, & Intelligence (C4I) objectives.
Present analysis results to USSOCOM J10 authorities in both written and verbal formats for decision-making purposes.
Develop and maintain a digital resource repository, including key points of contact, for mission continuity that is accessible by all relevant stakeholders.
Administer message traffic, publications, and manage the Joint Training Information Management System (JTIMS) for CWMD operations.
Assist in developing CWMD policies, procedures, and recommendations for operational improvements.
Perform escort duties for cleaning and construction crews within the USSOCOM J10 environment, when necessary. Skills and Competencies: In-depth knowledge of CWMD operations, policy, strategy, and doctrine.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to present complex analysis in both written and verbal formats.
Ability to collaborate with USSOCOM and other agencies to ensure policy compliance and strategic mission alignment.
Proficient in managing message traffic and publications and administering JTIMS for CWMD operations.
Strong organizational skills to develop and maintain an accessible electronic resource for mission continuity. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications include: A minimum of 6 years of CWMD planning experience in a DoD Joint organization or an equivalent Inter-Agency (CIA, FBI, DoS, DHS) within the last 10 years.
Graduate of a Joint CWMD Planning School (e.g., Joint Advanced Warfighting School) or
JOPES (Joint Operation Planning and Execution System) certification.
JTIMS certification preferred.
Active TS/SCI (DoD) clearance is required.
