This position is Open Until Filled.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB:
To instruct all students in the fundamental skills and knowledge of the sport or activity. To provide an atmosphere for successful individual development through monitoring, evaluating, and reinforcing.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Formulate behavioral objectives for the coming season and communicate to students.
2. Have understanding knowledge of rules and regulations and keep abreast of rule changes.
3. Implement proper procedures for out-of season practices and camps, according to the WHSAA and Campbell County Activities regulations.
4. Attend all District workshops.
5. Follow all Campbell County School District rules and regulations.
6. Responsible for scheduling activities and ensuring students are informed.
7. Explain all regulations of Campbell County School District concerning the Activity Code through the use of the Student Activity Handbook.
8. Clarify to the students the Award Policy.
9. Prepares and implements a schedule of checking out, maintaining, and checking in equipment.
10. Implement activity policies and procedures as outlined in the Handbook for Coaches.
11. Provide information for transportation, officials and event management.
12. Carefully follow the procedure of initiating purchase orders.
13. Assume supervisory control over all phases of students in his/her specific coaching assignment.
14. Assume responsibility for the control of the students on the bus.
15. Modeling and supporting ethical participation in all phases of the activity.
16. Ability to receive, understand and follow directions.
17. Submit recommendations for next year's season or practice schedule.
18. Maintain records of team and individual accomplishments.
19. Responsible for developing a budget and abiding within its constraints.
20. Perform other assigned tasks or duties as requested and needed.
21. May be responsible for supervising students on out-of town activities. This may involve staying
overnight.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
1. Keep abreast of new knowledge and techniques by attendance at clinics and workshops as
approved by Campbell County school District, and reading in his/her field encourage his/her
assistant coach to do the same.
2. Arrange for the payment of all necessary fees and keep accurate records.
3. Provide accurate information needed to compile eligibility lists and other reports.
4. Assume responsibility for constant care of equipment and facilities being used.
5. Prepare a summary of all contests and provide any publicity information that would aid his/her
program and his/her students.
6. Arrange for the issuance of letters and special awards earned after having the list of students
receiving letters and awards approved as directed by the Building Principal and the Activities
Coordinator.
EMPLOYEES ARE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ALL FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND MENTAL ABILITY:
. Knowledge of CPR and First Aid.
. Have fundamental knowledge of the activity.
. Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach activity objectives.
EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION OR FORMAL TRAINING
. Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
. Ability to sit on a bus for hour after hour.
. Some employees may be occupationally exposed to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials based on task and procedures required.
. Ability to adjust to a variety of temperature settings.
