Position Type: Transportation/Sub Driver Date Posted: 10/29/2019 Location: Transportation Additional Information: Show/Hide Substitute Bus Drivers for Teton County School District On-Call as needed basis, $23.70 per hour, paid training will begin upon hiring. PAID CDL TRAINING REPORTS TO: Transportation Director NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB: To provide safe and efficient transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district's curriculum and extra curricular programs. JOB FUNCTIONS: Safety of each passenger while on the bus in accordance with board policies and rules. Operation of the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner. Conducting pre-trip and post-trip checks on the vehicle and its special equipment at prescribed times. Establishing and maintaining rapport with passengers. Maintain discipline among passengers. Meet emergency situations in accordance with standard operating procedures. Maintain effective contact with the public. Complete required reports on time in the prescribed manner. Satisfactorily complete required training and first aid programs. Arrive at bus location 15 minutes before time to leave on route. Spend hour per day (2 hours per week) maintaining a clean interior and exterior of the bus in accordance with standard procedures. Conduct Evacuation Drills two times per year according to state law. Submit to random drug and alcohol testing, state law. Perform duties as assigned Must pass an annual DOT physical examination by licensed physician EDUCATION, LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, OR FORMAL TRAINING High School diploma required A combination of education and experience that prepares applicant for this job Class B Commercial Driver License with P.
