Our client is hiring a VP of Operations / COO to oversee the day-to-day production, quality and scheduling at this organization. This is a great opportunity for a Director of Operations or Manufacturing Manager that is looking to advance their career! The VP of Operations will be overseeing 6 direct reports and nearly 200 indirect employees. You will report to the President and career growth into other C-suite roles is possible.

What you will be doing:



  • Supervising the daily operations of the company and holding people accountable when necessary

  • Overseeing the entire manufacturing operation, assessing needs and capabilities of each department

  • Developing and implementing strategies, procedures and business plans needed to enhance company growth and productivity

  • Establishing company goals, performance measurements and strategic growth, with a focus on quality improvement, lean manufacturing and taking care of the customers

  • Reviewing and controlling production and departmental costs

  • Working closely with the CEO and CFO on all matters related to the business



What they are looking for:



  • BS in Mechanical Engineering a closely related degree

  • At least 5 years in a supervision/management role in a metal manufacturing environment (cold forming or machining experience is required)

  • Any experience in heat treating / plating processes a big plus

  • Good lean manufacturing or Total Quality Management processes is needed

  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills are needed

  • This person must have good people management skills

  • Very help is training in and the ability to understand financial statements
