Description
- Project Oversight: Manage and supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and other site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry regulations and client specifications.
- Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
- Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, addressing any delays or issues promptly to keep the project on track.
- Resource Coordination: Oversee the procurement and management of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient use and timely availability.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, including logistical challenges, technical problems, and conflicts among team members.
Profile
- 10+ years of experience in a superintendent role
- Ground up projects in excess of $20+ million
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Experience with scheduling and working closely with subcontractors and vendors
- Knowledge of all relevant safety practices and guidelines
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
