We are seeking a new Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. Your responsible will be to responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as indicated. You will supervise the nursing care of all assigned residents and delegate the duty for direct care. As a member of the Nursing department, you will work with fellow LPNs, RNs, CNAs, Dietary Aides, Physical therapy, and Activities Staff, and report to our Nurse Managers and Director of Nursing. What You Will Do: Monitor and administrate all treatments including, but not limited to: dressings, catheter insertion and maintenance, suctioning, oxygen, etc. Assists in direct resident care as necessary and administers medications Perform routine checks of residents' vital signs Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered Supervise and direct CNAs in accordance with Nursing Practice Act Serve as first resource for residents and staff on nursing care problems Know and give report for total resident care including data collection, medications, treatments, and daily living and psychological care Count narcotics and sedatives, identify and correct any errors, sign that these medications have been counted and enter new orders or reorders in the count book Reports medication errors or reactions to medications immediately and reports to the resident's attending physician and completes the necessary documentation Urgency and responsiveness to all resident call lights Admit and discharge residents and appropriate document What You Will Bring: Our ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of relevant field experience and the following credentials/skills: Associates or Bachelor degree in related field Communication skills Teamwork Strong work ethic Active LPN license registered through the State of Wisconsin Excellent interpersonal skills Ability to take instructions and give instruction in a professional manor Excellent attention to detail CBRF certification or ability to obtain CBRF certification within 90 days CPR certification required Empathy and compassion Why You'll Love Us: Eastcastle Place a nonprofit senior living community located in the heart of Milwaukee's vibrant East Side.
