Job description

Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy

Monday - Friday; 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. No nights, weekends or holidays.

Marshfield Medical Center - Marshfield cares for patients from throughout central, northern and western Wisconsin. Marshfield Medical Center offers primary, secondary, tertiary and Level II Trauma Center hospital services provided by Marshfield Clinic specialists. The facility hosts nearly 40 specialties including cancer, heart and orthopedics care, as well as a 24-bed Children's Hospital equipped with the latest technology and highly trained hospitalists and nurses providing nearly 30 pediatric specialty services, including: child abuse-neglect, gastroenterology, pediatric intensive care, neonatology, and surgery. Access to a Level II Trauma Center, ensures 24-hour availability of anesthesiologists, dedicated medical equipment, operating room facilities, physician specialists, surgeons, and trauma nurses.

The Pharmacist dispenses medications ensuring that the right drug, the right dose, the right directions, the right refills, the right doctor, and the right precautions are indicated on each prescription label. The Pharmacist is an important information resource to patients, providers, and staff and interacts in a courteous, professional manner at all times. The Pharmacist maintains appropriate documentation and meets all state and federal standards.

Requires:
Bachelor's or Pharm D degree
Experience with computer systems
Pharmacist license awarded by the State of Wisconsin or eligibility for WI pharmacist licensure that must be obtained within three months of hire
Knowledge of third-party reimbursement plans preferred
Experience in a specialty pharmacy-based position preferred
Board certification through the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties within two years of hire
