Job description

100% FTE, day/evening Shift, 8/10 hour shifts between 7:00am and 11:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an Emergency Department Nursing Supervisor to:

Work collaboratively with ED leadership and oversee of daily operations of the ED
Plan, direct and evaluate patient and family care.
Communicate and collaborate with a variety of staff including ED staff, nursing leadership, medical staff, case management, social work and multiple departments.
Acts as a clinical resource to staff and assure nursing care is provide within UW Health's established standards of care.

Education

Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered but the candidate must be enrolled in a BSN program with a program completion date within 24 months of hire. Required
Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN). Preferred

Work Experience

Three (3) years of relevant clinical, ED, transport, or Charge RN experience. Required
Demonstrated progressive leadership experience. Required
Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in clinical practice. Preferred
Management, Supervisory, or charge RN experience with demonstrated success. Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse license in state of Wisconsin. Required
Certification in relevant specialty area. Preferred
