Job Description: The Principal Program Manager at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Franklin, Wisconsin will develop plans on strategic infrastructure and cloud services programs. Deliver complex, cross-functional technical solutions that include multiple work streams spanning multiple technical and business products. Oversee end-to-end plans (program, communication, and risk) that are inclusive of project work needed to drive delivery outcomes for large-scale initiatives. Utilize project management methodologies and systems development life cycle (SDLC) best practices, communication and analytical skillsets, and experience with cross-functional negation, including Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Iterative, spiral and DevOps. Solve complex business problems through collaboration and partnerships and by using modern program management tools and processes, including Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Iterative, spiral and DevOps. Drive large scale, cross-functional initiatives using a variety of delivery methodologies, including waterfall, agile, lean, and scrum. Identify and manage inter-dependencies through connections across business and technical teams. Execute project planning activities, including determination of scope, milestones, risks, and issues. Identify delivery objectives and set priorities and KPI's. Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, and remove impediments. Deliver leadership and stakeholder program updates. Define program structure and create a single, unified plan to deliver on program objectives. Define objectives, priorities, and key program measures. Develop program transparency via status reporting to all levels of leadership. Manage program budget. Telecommuting permissible two days per week. Salary $121,030-$246,740 per year.

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Applied Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field plus 5 years of experience as a technical program manager, technical project lead or related occupation. Experience must include 5 years with each of the following: (1) program management methodologies and governance, including Advisory Model, Cooperative Model Management Team Model, and Policy Board Model; (2) project management methodologies and SDLC, including Waterfall, Agile, Lean, Iterative, Spiral, DevOps and Scrum; (3) project management and agile tooling, including Jira Align, Jira, Rally, or Basecamp; (4) finance; (5) developing, testing, and implementing infrastructure, security solutions, and technical concepts; and (6) working with cross functional engineers, product managers, and business leaders. Must also include 3 years of experience leading Networking Infrastructure projects, including Core Networking, LAN/WAN, Switches, routers, SDWAN, Firewalls, and Network Security.
