A leading construction firm that specializes in diverse commercial & light industrial projects is looking for a strategic and experienced Director of Preconstruction to join their leadership team. This southern Wisconsin General Contractor is well respected and highly regarded as one of the area's top employers

The Director of Preconstruction will oversee all preconstruction activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is vital for driving strategic planning, client engagement, and collaboration among project teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preconstruction process from project inception to final handoff, including budgeting, scheduling, and feasibility analysis.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to develop project scopes and objectives.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and conduct value engineering to optimize project budgets.
• Manage and mentor the preconstruction team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Present project proposals and updates to stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• 10 years of experience in preconstruction management or related roles within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, cost estimation, and project management practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects.
