Job description

Securian Financial Groups internal position title is Procurement Sr. Analyst.

Position Summary:

Securian Financial is looking for a Procurement Operations Senior Analyst to join our team! In this role you'll focus on operational and market analytics through management of data quality, support of external spend analytics, and driving supplier onboarding using tools like SAP, Power Pivot, Tableau, and ServiceNow. You will collaborate with category managers to identify savings opportunities and contribute to enterprise savings goals. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Performs moderately complex curation of data across several databases and source systems with less structured data from numerous and disparate sources and systems.
  • Summarizes findings for review with more experienced professionals and management, working with business subject matter experts to frame responses for exceptions.
  • Implements and executes data quality and maintenance programs in alignment with established policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to established data governance policies and procedures in the Procurement space.
  • Supports implementation of strategy through spend analytics management & reporting as well as category manager support on market intelligence.
  • Fulfills data and reporting requests that are typically of moderate complexity, supporting assigned projects addressing procurement policies, procedures, process improvement, and development.
  • Support tools and processes throughout the department by managing assignments, identifying improvement areas, and implementing approved initiatives.
Data and Analytics
  • Serves as the primary administrator of external spend reporting for enterprise procurement.
  • Uses various tools and technologies to fulfill analytics reporting requests including Ariba platforms, Tableau, SAP Fiori, Concur, Suplari, Supplier.io and ServiceNow (and others as onboarded).
  • Ensures data quality is verified and maintained within our third-party applications, including SAP, Suplari and Supplier IO.
  • Assists with researching issues in data quality and report output and is able to provide insights and recommendations to remedy.
  • May assist with the implementation of enhancements to existing models, frameworks and processes.
  • Supports standard reporting, ad hoc reports, KPI's and dashboards as directed by department leadership, including partnering with category managers to identify savings opportunities through reporting and analysis methods.
  • Provide recommendations for savings and consolidation to help support EP and Enterprise savings and expense reduction goals.
  • Support for vendor onboarding through the Supplier Lifecycle Performance module of SAP.
  • Become a SME on the processes and flow of data throughout the Procurement and Financial platforms.
Supplier Onboarding
  • Primary administrator for SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle Performance (SLP) module to ensure overall success and effectiveness.
  • Primary contact between suppliers, SAP SLP support and internal stakeholders.
  • Drive and execute onboarding process that supports operational goals.
  • Using reporting skills and analytics, define trends in and actively support the overall adoption strategy.
  • Drive supplier data collections and validation effort to include contact information and terms.
  • Responsible for the overall accuracy of the enterprise vendor master table.
Qualifications:
  • Strong data analytics background.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple data sets and creating dashboards.
  • 3+ years of experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, AO, etc.).
  • 3+ years of experience with an automated P2P solution (SAP Ariba preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to present complex data to non-subject matter experts.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and a team and customer-focused approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and workload with multiple complex projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an inquisitive mindset.
This position will be in a hybrid working arrangement.

If you're in a commutable distance (90 minutes) you'll join us 2-3 days each week in our offices to collaborate and build relationships. Our policy allows flexibility for the reality of business and personal schedules. When working in our offices at least two days per week isn't feasible (vacations, illness, travel, etc.), an eight day per month standard is an option.

Physical job requirements:
  • Ability to utilize the keyboard, computer and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week.

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$56,000.00 - $103,000.00
