We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Mining Attorney to join our team. We are a reputable law firm based in West Virginia, specializing in natural resources and mining law. Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining law, regulatory compliance, and environmental issues related to the industry. This role involves advising clients on legal matters, navigating complex regulations, and providing strategic guidance to ensure successful operations.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Advise clients on all aspects of mining law, including permitting, compliance, and transactional matters.
  • Represent clients in negotiations, hearings, and regulatory proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to mining regulations and environmental laws.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and legal documents pertinent to mining operations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and legal developments affecting the mining sector.
  • Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to resolve legal issues.

Qualifications:


  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in West Virginia.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mining law or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and compliance issues.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
