Do you enjoy creating an engaging experience for others to share in? We are seeking a creative Banquet Set-up specialists to join our team. As Banquet Set-up, you will be responsible for creating unforgettable experiences for our guests by setting up and decorating the banquet rooms for events and banquets. You will work closely with your team to create unique and memorable set-up designs that will provide unforgettable experiences for our guests.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the placement, service, maintenance and breakdown of physical sets in the banquet area.
Essential Functions:
- Review Banquet Event Order for schedule of daily functions.
- Consistently offer professional, engaging and friendly service.
- Properly clean and set meeting rooms for banquet functions per specifications on the Banquet Event Order.
- Vacuum floors, clean walls, windows and mirrors.
- Proper care, movement, storage of all equipment such as tables, chairs, risers, and dance floor is required.
- Proper control and storage of meeting room supplies such as linen, pads, pens/pencils and candy, are required.
- Service every meeting room by straightening all chairs, emptying trash, removing dirty plates, cups, linens and glasses, and replacing as necessary.
- Continuously keep service corridors, pre-function space, and storage areas clean, organized and unobstructed.
- Locate and deliver convention material to designated location.
- Move furniture in and about the property.
- Ensure that all doors and equipment are locked securely, everything is turned off and keys are returned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Keep work areas neat and organized.
- Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
- Maintain a safe working environment and immediately report all unsafe conditions.
- Maintain a good working relationship with all departments.
- Comply with all policies and procedures set forth by the property Employee Handbook.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Possession of government required licenses or certificates.
- Ability to:
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Work any day of the week and any hour.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Work as part of a team.
- Communicate effectively.
- Receive and follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Multi-task and work well under pressure.

Compensation details: 16.28-18 Hourly Wage
