Pay Range: $29.75-$36.08 an hour

A Supervisor in Training position in Tacoma, WA, is available at Milgard Windows and Doors. In this role you will partake in a -month comprehensive leadership training program designed to develop and prepare you for a supervisor role within the Company. In this role you will spend time in Production, Quality, Tooling, Safety, Maintenance, Distribution, CI, Materials, and HR to develop an understanding of the business and learn how to effectively lead a team. The ultimate career path will depend upon the trainee s career goals, abilities and performance as well as business needs over time. The shift time is Monday-Friday 9am-6pm with willingness to support all shifts to provide coverage.

Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours depending upon business needs. Requires willingness to adjust schedule to provide coverage on swing and grave shift
• 3 + years of manufacturing experience is required
• Upon successful completion of the program, must have a willingness to work 12 hour overnight shift
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a high growth environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timetables
• Must be detail oriented
• Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills

What will you learn and do?

• Get a detailed perspective of manufacturing processes and business systems
• Build and develop leadership skills to effectively lead a team through coaching, mentoring, training, and team member relations
• Drive positive change in the KPI s of Safety, Quality, OTD, Cost, 5S, TPM
• Learn to effectively communicate with business leaders
• Learn, develop, and implement lean manufacturing tools to drive manufacturing improvements
• Develop soft skills, improve public speaking, and advance presentation skills
• Develop a voice amongst the other leaders
