Job description
Duties Utilizes the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS) to validate that System Authorization Access Requests are in compliance with established security procedures. Coordinates with the Army Registration Authority to order and manage Alternate Smart Card tokens. Trouble shoots PKI token and Common Access Card issues related to computer logon failures and resets CAC pins. Utilizes the Installation Support Module (ISM) to pre-clear departing customers. Monitors Enterprise ticketing system for customer requests for new or changed services. Reviews ticket for complete and accurate information required to provide service. Escalates VTC system reservation conflicts to more senior technicians or a supervisor when priorities of work are unclear. Provides technical and professional support in connection with VTC operations, applications and administration. Monitors equipment performance and upgrades software/configurations when required. Advise customer on VTC conferencing protocol. Represents the NEC at user and planning conferences requiring VTC support. Requirements Conditions of Employment Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation. Three year trial/probationary period may be required. This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a compensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour. You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent This is a Cyber Term position scheduled to last until October 2029. A Cyber Term Appointment may be extended to a maximum of five years depending upon the needs of management. This is a Noncritical Sensitive position. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance IT Level II, T3. The incumbent may be subject short notice overtime and shift work to include nights, holidays, and weekends in support of related mission requirements. Required to possess a valid state driver's license to operate a passenger vehicle for operating government vehicles. TDY up to 25% may be required. Required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position and must obtain the appropriate certification within six months of being assigned. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe one-year of specialized experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience would be demonstrated by 1) Developing policies or procedures to ensure effective and efficient use of information systems; 2) Resolving PKI token and Common Access Card (CAC) issues for an entire organization 3) Monitoring ticketing system for customer requests to ensure complete and accurate information for service or escalation. My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined: (1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. OR Education: Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, three full years of graduate education from an accredited or pre-accredited institution that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems, or networks.
