Job description

Duties Serve as Custodian of Prisoners Personal Deposit Fund and Assistant Health and Comfort Manager. Maintain general ledger accounts within the personal deposit fund, which is a general fund for prisoner functions. Serve as Assistant Manager of the Health and Comfort department, providing supply and accountability tracking for all items. Provide managerial supervision and inventory accountability and safekeeping for prisoner's personal property. Provide finance office with proper documents to determine and maintain the prisoner's pay status. Requirements Conditions of Employment New employee must submit to tuberculosis screening prior to hire, and annually thereafter and offered hepatitis series immunization upon appointment. Employee must be able to pass a Criminal History Background Check. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. This position may require the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station approximately 5% of the time. This position requires the employee to complete the Army Corrections Command Pre-Service Training program. Pre-Service Training emphasis the responsibilities of each individual to maintain security and control of inmates, appropriate staff/inmate interaction and understanding the rules of inmate conduct. Personnel who enter the NWJRCF (within or outside the fence line) consent to inspection of their person and property, including their vehicle. IAW The Prison Rape Elimination Act, the MCC may not hire or promote anyone who may have contact with inmates, has engaged in sexual abuse in a prison, jail, lockup community conferment facility, juvenile facility, or other institution. This is a financial Management Level 1 Certified position. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action. All Army Corrections Command employees are required to take 40 hours of training annually. Employees will receive basic training in inmate supervision and security as well as specialized training in their field. The incumbent will comply will all provisions of the NWJRCF's, Standards of Conduct SOP and ACC Policy Letter , Standards of Conduct. Violation of either regulations may result in denial of security/access badge, be subject to disciplinary action under civilian personnel regulations or criminal prosecution under 18 USC 1791 or other applicable Federal or state laws. Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450. Specialize experience: One-year specialized experience which includes utilizing various automated accounting/financial systems to maintain accounts and using standard accounting codes or transactions to support budget or financial management functions.
