Position Overview:
The MD Specialist evaluates, reviews and adjusts vehicle estimates produced by independent appraisers and body shops. The MD Specialist also negotiates agreed cost of repairs with body shops utilizing CCCs estimating and audit platforms. Provides training for new Auditor and MD adjuster as well as provide ongoing Material Damage and Total Loss Adjuster training.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions ):
Analytical Skills:
- Reviews moderate to complex estimates to evaluate accuracy. Makes revisions as necessary to estimates, and negotiates an agreed cost of repair with the shops when applicable.
- Writes repair estimates and prepares total loss valuations from photos.
- Evaluates supplements received from shops or independent appraisers and secures appropriate support.
- Determines reparability versus total loss.
Communication:
- Provides technical guidance and training to our staff of Material Damage Adjusters.
- Resolves customer concerns.
- Reviews subrogation demands for accuracy
Qualifications & Skills:
REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 5 years experience working as an auto claims adjuster, appraiser, estimator or in a similar role such as shop experience with DRP management
- Strong experience and familiarity with auto estimating and auditing platforms, preferably CCC.
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation
- Strong Problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated superior Customer Service skills working with both internal and external customers
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience working in a team environment
- Ability to operate a PC and related software.
- Ability to obtain and maintain WA and WY adjuster licenses
