Job description

The Work Execution Manager is responsible for implementing project and department schedules with regard to the maintenance repair of WTP facilities. Coordinates with various departments to achieve optimum utilization of maintenance supervision and labor while supporting the startup, commissioning and operation of a DOE nuclear facility. Support for the development and implementation of DOE O 433.1, Maintenance Management Program for DOE Nuclear Facilities, compliant maintenance management program. This includes development of policies and procedures to fully implement the order requirements, as well as overseeing and managing their implementation at the WTP nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. This position shall be performed under the day-to-day direction, control and supervision of WTCC. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS Perform all work with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees. Perform all work in compliance with regulatory and project procedures, plans, permits and regulations. Department performance tracking and trending, including development and maintenance of performance metrics. Oversight of department event/issue investigation and cause analysis corrective action program administration. Human resources interface and primary point of contact in staffing requisitions for assigned positions. Coordination and performance of Internal Assessments. Provide support to the Maintenance Manager and assumes department responsibility when manager absent. Understand system design and operation, including environmental, safety, and health aspects and regulatory conformance. Support control of fieldwork in assigned areas, including integration of project activities, repairs, and equipment operations activities. Remain apprised of plant status and ongoing maintenance activities. Complete required training and maintain qualifications associated with assignments. Maintain WTP facilities in support of startup, commissioning and operations activities. Support the development and implementation of facility related procedures and work instructions. Support the development and implementation of facility related training and qualification programs. Ensure assigned personnel achieve and maintain assigned training and qualification requirements. Manage assigned personnel in the completion of complex work, in accordance with approved labor agreements. Interface with subcontractors, vendors, and project support groups. Identify deficiencies and initiate corrective actions Ensure timely and accurate oral and written technical reports on assigned activities Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment This job description is not intended to include every duty, task or instruction for which an employee is responsible. Other tasks may be assigned, based on business needs and the department supervisors request SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage/supervise assigned personnel to include assigning complex work, setting work priorities, and evaluation/training. REQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Science/Business and 10 years' experience in the area of expertise and/or a combination of startup/ operations/maintenance of nuclear or high hazard waste treatment and/or commercial nuclear facilities, demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards in the area of expertise. OR Associate's degree and 12 years' experience in the area of expertise and/or a combination of startup/ operations/maintenance of nuclear or high hazard waste treatment and/or commercial nuclear facilities, demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards in the area of expertise. OR High School Diploma/GED and 15 years' experience in the area of expertise and/or a combination of startup/ operations/maintenance of nuclear or high hazard waste treatment and/or commercial nuclear facilities, demonstrated knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards in the area of expertise. Previous Maintenance Department Management experience in DOE nuclear facilities is preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (EFNM) Exposed Field Non-Manual- Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity. This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site. Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship COMPENSATION & BENEFITS HIRING SALARY RANGE: $146,128.82 - $238,179.18 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
