Job description

Our client is seeking a Lab Technician to join their team. As a Lab Technician, you will be part of the Manufacturing and Quality Control Department supporting Optical Systems and Satellite Components Teams. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and strong technical skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lab Technician - Optical Systems and Satellite Manufacturing
Location: Redmond, WA
Pay Range: $34/hr.


What's the Job?
1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
2. Assist in the calibration and testing of optical systems and satellite components.
3. Conduct quality control inspections and document test results.
4. Maintain and troubleshoot optical testing setups and associate hardware.
5. Ensure compliance with ESD and cleanroom protocols.

What's Needed?
1. Associate degree in Optical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; bachelor's degree preferred.
2. Experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment for high-precision optical products.
3. Familiarity with optical testing methods and equipment, such as interferometers, power meters, and fiber optic architecture.
4. Proficiency with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and laboratory equipment.
5. Strong understanding of ESD control measures and cleanroom standards.
