Job description

Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems/tasks by interpreting manufacturers' manuals, schematics, or similar documents. • shall have demonstrated competence through satisfactory, progressive performance as a radio frequency (RF) technician. As a minimum, this shall include four (4) years in the repair and support of high power RF transmitter, receiver and antenna systems or (4) years in the repair and support of electronic systems and an FCC Amateur Radio Technician or higher class license. This time shall be exclusive of formalized training. • Performs such tasks as replacing components and wiring circuits, repairing complex electronic equipment, and taking test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, oscilloscopes, etc. • Be knowledgeable on computer systems/operations and able to competently function/operate in a computer-rich environment • Work requires familiarity with the interrelationship of circuits and judgment in planning work sequences and in selecting tools and test equipment. • May provide guidance to lower-level technicians. • Perform comprehensive preventive and corrective maintenance activities on simulation equipment. • Work any shift and weekends as specified by the Contract for this site. • Perform other duties as assigned. Pay Rate: The rate for this position is $48.79 plus pay in lieu of time off per CBA. However, Valiant considers several factors, including but not limited to, market data, business considerations, internal equity, the role and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's work experience, education, and training, when extending an offer. An Simulator Maintenance Technician II, shall demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as a simulator technician. • Minimum experience shall include four (4) years of simulator maintenance, and shall be a graduate from a two (2) year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or the equivalent. • Technicians must demonstrate networking and maintenance experience on simulator computer systems or equal in complexity to those computer systems outlined in the PWS. • Desire applicant to have an Information Assurance (IA) certification of A+ or higher. • The applicant must be a US citizen, possess the ability to obtain a US passport, and must have and maintain a valid driver's license. • The applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a minimum of a SECRET clearance for access to classified information.
