Job description

Essential Functions:
Documents correctly in the medical record and field chart. Identifies and acts appropriately in code situations.
Applies professional skills to patient care; communicates and follows through on the treatment plan.
Coordinates patient care with the appropriate services.
Conducts comprehensive evaluations.
Designs and implements therapy/treatment plans.
Operates treatment devices appropriately.
Provides education to families and other providers.
Performs a complete assessment.
Teaches patients in identified areas of need and evaluates response.
May assist patients in selecting appropriate adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
Maintains ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office (Outlook) and department specific software applications to perform work.
Communicates effectively and cooperatively in the workplace.
Actively contributes to the achievement of Quality Improvement and Lean Process Improvement activities.
Completes all mandatory learning requirements in a timely manner.
Maintains current registration and/or certification as required.
Attends and actively participates in all department, team and/or committee meetings.

Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Occupational Therapy.

License/Certificaton:
Must be currently licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Washington within 6 months of hire.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare provider BLS required.

Experience/Training:
Previous experience working in an acute hospital and/or nursing home is recommended.

Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, and paid time off to all employees holding an FTE of 20 or more hours per week. Eligible employees also receive sick time pay.

Pay: $39.86 - $59.79 per hour

8 hour shift
