Job description

Monday-Friday, variable times 9am-6pm; 6 working hours per week plus On-call: 8am-3pm PST, 25 on-call hours at $31 per hour.Position: PsychiatristDepartment Details: The facility is PHP/IOP level of care only, operating Monday-Friday for adults with mental health and substance use disorders. Coverage requested 2 days a week, likely for 2 hours per day, based on need. Responsibilities will include initial psychiatric evaluation and medical review, follow up visits with medication management, and treatment team availability for case consults weekly. Substance abuse patients with some psychiatric diagnoses will be treated here. Required Certifications: Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) supplemented by the completion of psychiatric residency training required. One or more years post graduate degree practice preferred. Current license to practice medicine, by the state in which the facility(s) operate. Board certification or certificate of admissibility for board certification in a behavioral health specialty. Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working. Additional specific DEA credentials may be required, per state and facility regulations or policy.CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).Required Experience: Experience treating PHP and IOP pts, or inpatient substance abuse and psych patientsPatient Caseload: Will probably work 2-3 days a week (2-3 hours per day based on need), no more than 5 patients per day as they are only seen weekly in PHP and bi-weekly in IOPDocumentation: EHR-HCSAdditional Information: There will be no medication storage or administration on site, all medication orders will go to patients home pharmacy. Shift: Monday-Friday, patients only served 9am-6pm; No weekends, No on-call 6 hours per week
