Factoria Orthodontics is looking to add two full-time orthodontic clinicians to join our amazing team! Prior orthodontic is preferred, but if you have no orthodontic experience than dental experience is required. We are looking for someone who is super outgoing, friendly, and detail oriented. We want you to enjoy working with others and create relationships with our patients and families! We want you to be part of our little work family, while still getting the job done! Practice onboarding will be provided.

General Duties

Orthodontic Assistants/Clinicians help the orthodontist with patients who require corrective procedures for alignment and spacing issues. They assist the orthodontist in many aspects of patient care and perform certain procedures under the direction of the orthodontist. They also have certain responsibilities throughout the day to help keep the clinic flowing and patients happy. The procedures and responsibilities of the orthodontic clinician includes but is not limited to:

• Being the best part of the patient's day!

• Greeting patients and/or parents and seating them for their appointments, while making them feel comfortable and/or excited about their treatment!

• Educating parents/patients about their treatment. e.g.: how to brush around the braces to prevent cavities or how to ensure their aligners are tracking, etc.

• Communicating with patients in an encouraging, uplifting manner that instills confidence and creates an excellent patient experience.

• Helping prepare the clinic at the start of the day, and preparing the treatment operatories prior to the patient's appointment.

• Cleaning/sterilizing the operatories and equipment in between appointments.

• Entering chart notes regarding the day's appointment and notes regarding the next appointment.

• Taking x-rays, extra-oral and intra-oral photography, and scanning people's teeth using a digital scanner (iTero)

• Submitting any scans / prescriptions for lab work or aligners as needed.

• Preparing the patient's teeth for bonding braces.

• Placing and removing arch wires, placing and cementing certain types of appliances like space maintainers, expanders, mandibular advancers, facemasks, etc!

• Bonding attachments for clear aligners.

• Having a full understanding of appliances and their purpose.

• Having a full, hands-on understanding, of all clinical procedures.

• Communicating effectively with clinical team members to create a positive, productive work environment.

• Help us market the practice to patients and other referring dental offices! We like to visit offices and give them gifts and make connections with the people we work with.

Pay and Benefits

Factoria Orthodontics offers a very competitive compensation package, benefits, and great working environment.

Pay: $23-$33 per hour, with bonus incentives on top. Starting pay will be based on candidate's experience and skills.
