Ballistic Digital is seeking a Software Developer to support a sensitive USG program in Williamsburg Virginia. The software developer will work to create software programs for computers, mobile devices, wireless communications, servers, as well as for data manipulation and visualization. Responsibilities: • Designing, developing, and maintaining applications, including development of new applications, modification of existing applications, and transition of legacy applications to new technologies.
• Analize customer needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of application design within customer's time and cost limitations.
• Designing and developing database management systems, image processing, collaborative tools, data manipulation techniques, data visualization techniques, and interfaces with access control services.
• Designing and developing tools that integrate with commercial applications.
• Developing and executing unit and functional test plans.
• Executing software system testing and validation procedures and programming.
• Documenting test results in prescribed manner.
• Providing database architectural and design capabilities.
• Providing operations and maintenance of operational systems.
• Creating or providing end user instructions or manuals. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: • Five (5) years of demonstrated software development experience.
• Demonstrated expertise with modern programming languages including Python.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging and applying Al/ML technologies.
• Demonstrated experience with Docker and other virtualization technologies.
Additional Desired Skills • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., repeatedly throughout the course of a workday.
• Ability to walk in uneven or potentially hazardous terrain.
• Ability to climb a ladder without additional physical assistance.
• Ability to operate hand tools, both motorized and manual, without accommodation.
• Visual abilities which allow for application of fine motor skills in low light conditions.
• Ability to complete fall protection training and perform work on elevated platforms.
• Ability to connect sensor trailers and cellular-on-wheels trailers to truck hitches and move around Sponsor location sites.
