Summary:

Reports to the Maintenance Manager and takes direction from the Resort Manager and Lead Resort Maintenance Attendant, and Assistant General Manager as needed. Provides manpower for the Maintenance Department and aides in unit efficiency, proper building maintenance and appealing outside grounds. Provides general mechanical and periodic maintenance to resort common areas and units. Supports the efforts in meeting company guest satisfaction goals, including RCI Silver Crown Distinction expectations. Has a support responsibility to all functional officers, directors and managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for general building maintenance and daily inspections, service calls, planned preventative maintenance, hourly pool upkeep and light landscaping duties. Knowledge of ADA pool lift procedures and periodic maintenance.
  • Responsible for overall building knowledge of exteriors and interiors, and identifies, reports, and minimizes abnormal maintenance conditions or possible safety concerns. Follow up with the Lead Maintenance Attendant as appropriate.
  • Responds to emergency situations and demonstrates full knowledge of emergency procedures. Supports other departments in light cleaning, maintenance, housekeeping, marketing, and HR activities when needed.
  • Responds to daily maintenance requests and provides maintenance support to guests and other departments. Produces reports for housekeeping/maintenance and ensures all logs are up to date.
  • Responsible for tracking, maintaining, safe condition, proper use, and return/inventory of maintenance supplies, tools and resources, and reporting incidents to management as appropriate.
  • Provides on-site activities, area attractions, events and other vacation information to owners/guests. Solicits client referrals, timeshare tour opportunities, online satisfaction reviews and customer feedback for improvement.
  • Performs related duties as assigned or as situation dictates.
Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have general repair knowledge and experience, including knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Must have customer service skills
  • Must have good oral and written communication skills, able to engage and effectively communicate on all levels as needed
  • Ability to resolve common problems and concerns of owners/guest in a professional manner
  • Must have or be able to attain a pool certification
