Join a highly skilled team of TAG-Headquarters' professionals through support to TAG's Finance Team. Overview:
As Financial Controller, you will provide oversight into TAG's accounting and timekeeping systems. The Financial Controller will manage Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and program reconciliation between operations and finance. The Financial Controller prepares monthly reports for the CEO and has a key role in external reporting obligations. Security Requirement:
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government SECRET security clearance is required. Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
• Managing Accounting Systems.
• Preparing annual budgets with ongoing analysis of targets to actuals.
• Developing and implementing new DCAA compliant cost centers.
• Preparing Internal and External reports for month and year end.
• Overseeing Accounting Policies and Procedures.
• Overseeing Payroll, Bank reconciliations, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Finance admin positions. • Managing QuickBooks accounting system, reporting monthly financial statements, P&L by Job, AR/AP, cash flow, cash net income projections, tax reporting, business license management. • Maintaining asset list and depreciation schedule. • Advising management about company insurance coverage.
• Ensuring compliance with government regulations including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Contract Audit Agency (DFAR)
• Providing financial analysis, pricing decisions and contract negotiations. • Collaborating with project managers and contract administrators to develop and review project budgets and cost estimates.
• Preparing external reports for financial institutes, DCAA and accounting firms for financial audits, line of credit, incurred cost rate proposals, provisional rates. • Scheduling and leading weekly finance staff meetings. • Managing relationships with financial institutes and accounting firm.
• Daily reviews and oversight of benefits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, timekeeping, approvals of purchase orders and travel claims. • Working with management on cost centers, operating plan and 1-5-year forecast. • Continual re-evaluation of accounting policies and procedures and procurement. Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
• 10+ years' experience as a Corporate Controller in the Defense related Government Contracting sector.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Desktop, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat PDF.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume work environment, both independently and in a team atmosphere.
• Flexibility and adaptability in reprioritizing efforts.
