Assistant Facility Security Officer

The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) serves as the secondary point of contact for all security matters. Under the direction of the FSO, the AFSO will assist in implementing and maintaining security policies and procedures. Security Requirement
Current, in-scope US Government SECRET security clearance is required. Primary Roles and Responsibilities
Assist the Facility Security Officer in:
Submitting SCI nomination paperwork, IT account requests, CAC requests, and all other contract-specific requirements.
Tracking all required security training and briefings, to include Initial and Annual Security Briefings, foreign travel briefings and debriefings, and special briefings.
Conducting government-required facility self-inspections and DCSA Security Reviews.
Initiating personnel security investigation and reinvestigation requests in NBIS and conducting thorough review of and feedback on SF-86 clearance applications.
On-boarding cleared employees, to include obtaining all applicable security paperwork.
Submitting Visit Access Requests (VARs) and reciprocity requests.
Maintaining and updating facility's Subject list in DISS/NBIS.
Updating NISS with facility information and submitting change condition packages.
Maintaining facility's physical security program, to include conducting GSA safe inventory inspections, entry/exit bag checks, and updating and maintaining all associated documentation (safe inventory lists, SF701s and SF702s, etc.).
Maintaining all facility and personnel documents in accordance with current government policies. Qualifications and Skills
2+ years as an Assistant Facility Security Officer or equivalent position.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Completion of the following certifications: FSO for Possessing Facilities (multiple courses), and within 30 days of hire: Insider Threat Awareness, Identifying and Safeguarding Personally Identifiable Information, and Cybersecurity Awareness or Cybersecurity Challenge.
Strong working knowledge of the NISPOM, other relevant DoD security guidance and requirements, DISS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, DD254s, and Physical Security requirements.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment and interface with personnel at all levels within and outside the organization.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage competing workloads and demands in a fast-paced environment.
Ability and willingness to take direction and learn new software and programs.
