Job description

Job Title: Deputy Program Manager
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Work Location: Remote Key Responsibilities: Work with the Program Manager to remove impediments, select highly qualified talent, and serve as backup when PM is unavailable. Co-own success narratives shared with COR and sponsor. Monitor and manage performance and delivery of software across all Prometheus products
Work with the Shared Services Team resources, Architects, Senior Devs/Architects, and Scrum Masters to ensure continuity program wide in documentation of business processes, performance metrics, and reporting metrics and development data and activities to standardize processes and drive performance improvement
Work with the RTE and Agile Coach as a team to advance SAFe practices and continuous improvement initiatives across the release train
Work with the RTE and solution train to identify opportunities as well as manage business risk and business dependencies. Report issues and risks identified to Program Manager and document risks in risk register to manage
Review Product Backlog regularly and consolidate meaningful metrics across teams for capacity and velocity management
Provide guidance and direction to Senior Technical writer to inform standardization and best practices are in place and improved upon throughout life cycle of project
Manage 'Technical Product Managers' across all Prometheus products to ensure quality of product management is aligned with the objectives and future state as defined by the business
Monitor data entry and utilization of JIRA/Confluence and enforce changes or modifications to best represent performance based metrics in real-time, including customization of reporting and data management in confluence
Final review of status reports to ensure performance metrics are accurate and teams are measuring work progress in a consistent and compliant manner
Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to realize performance improvement that is measurable and meaningful to the customer
Participate in PI Planning as a client navigator
Required Qualifications: Education:
Bachelor's degree or master's degree in business, computer science or related field
Experience/Skills:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field, with at least 6 years of managing multiple cross-disciplinary IT teams on large complex, programs
Proven experience in Program Management Demonstrated ability to monitor all dimensions of a business
Deep understanding of the Federal marketplace with at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the component organizations with USDA
Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering high visibility, challenging projects
Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
Ability to establish trusted relationships with Government POC's and partners
Ability to work in a multi-vendor environment
Outstanding verbal and written skills
