My client is a family-owned and operated company based in Sterling, VA. Serving the DMV area, they boast an extensive portfolio that includes diverse projects such as hospitality, multifamily, commercial, retail, and restaurant developments. With around 300 full-time employees, they specialize in Plan & Spec and Design-Build/Assist projects and have a growing commercial service and maintenance division, including HVAC and VRF systems. They generate an average of $120 million in annual revenue and currently have over $100 million in backlog.

Description

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of plumbing projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and reporting. Ensure all projects are completed within financial parameters.
  • Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure timely completion.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and manage on-site teams, including subcontractors and laborers, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining open and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. Address any concerns and provide regular updates.
  • Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure all plumbing installations meet company standards and client expectations.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Problem Solving: Identify potential issues and obstacles early in the project, developing and implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and as-built drawings.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, overseeing performance, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience in Project Management
  • Proficient in BuildingConnected, Bluebeam, FastDUCT, and FastPIPE
  • Experience with project scopes ranging from $1M to $50M
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC construction, including ductwork and sheet metal
  • Understanding of plumbing and commercial plumbing projects
  • Familiarity with mechanical equipment, drawings, and specifications
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
