(BVTI) is a service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) who is seeking to identify a Senior Contract Specialist to provide contract administration, acquisition planning and source selection support to our customers in the Intelligence Community. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task and provide advisory support for source selections, assist with strategic level issues, acquisition planning, formulating negotiation strategies, analyze cost and price data and provide pre- and post-award support to Federal customers. Position Requirements Duties and Responsibilities: Provide hands-on contract administration support for all phases of the acquisition cycle with particular emphasis on contract administration for service contracts. Possess ability to assist with strategic level issues, acquisition planning, formulate negotiation strategies, develop negotiation objectives, negotiate various types of contracts, and analyze cost and pricing data. Assist with procuring services using various types of contracts. Assist with administration of various type of contracts. Requires knowledge of firm fixed price, IDIQ, GSA, cost and award fee contracts. Direct customer interaction in all phases of contracting cycle. Required Knowledge and Skills: Proficient in preparing pre- and post-award documentation. Effective oral and written communication skills. Contract experience in either the Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD). Expert knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS). Firsthand operational experience in a wide range of contracting methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Word and Excel. Proficiency in using PRISM to perform various types of contracting actions. Required Education and Experience: BA/BS, in business field, or with at least 24 business related credits. 10 years hands-on contracting experience. Desired Education and Experience: DAWIA Level III or FAC-C Level III certification in Contracting, or equivalent. Prior experience as an 1102 Government Contract Specialist.
