The President has led the company to success for over 30 years across commercial, multifamily, mixed-use, warehousing, and industrial disciplines. My client serves all markets in Virginia all the way up to Southern Maryland, they are continuing to successfully break into the Carolinas and West Virginia markets. The Richmond Based Traveling Superintendent - Multifamily/Mixed-use will spearhead the push into West Virginia, focusing on a large scale hospitality project.

Description

The Traveling Superintendent - Hospitality/Hotels - Richmond, VA will be responsible for:

  • Lead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control and a clean site
  • Traveling 4 days per week (Monday-Thursday) to Charleston, WV
  • Develop comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, inspections
  • Work in partnership with PM to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule that reflects the changes in project status and that meets the cost and time requirements of the project
  • Demonstrate and maintain effective and open dialogue with the project team regarding changes in work, job conditions, subcontractor relations and any deviation in the direction of the project
  • Always promotes positive relationships by dealing expertly and fairly with all subcontractors and vendors while instilling this philosophy in the project team

Profile

The Traveling Superintendent - Hospitality/Hotels - Richmond, VA will have:

  • 5-8+ year's experience as a Project Superintendent
  • Experience with ground up hospitality construction
  • Experience in estimating is not required, but would be an added plus
  • Project experience should include out of the ground, multifamily, mixed-use, hospitality
  • Project size should be anywhere from $1 million to $20 million
  • You will have experience with complex, fast paced, and high visibility projects
  • National Travel is required for this position

Job Offer

The Traveling Superintendent - Hospitality/Hotels - Richmond, VA will receive:

  • Competitive base salary and bonus potential
