Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the replacement of the Client's existing systems. You will coordinate with Business Analysts, program managers, and act as a liaison between the business community, end users, and the IT organization. You will manage project scope, schedule, and budget, providing regular reports to Client IT management and business stakeholders. The role also involves directing vendor efforts, managing procurement processes, and ensuring project objectives and requirements are fully met.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage the project scope, schedule, and budget, reporting progress to IT management and business stakeholders.

Act as a liaison between the business community, end users, and the IT organization.

Oversee the vendor's design, development, and implementation efforts for the new criminal history system.

Coordinate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process, including drafting evaluation criteria and contract terms.

Assist with vendor evaluations, responding to vendor queries, and contract negotiations.

Provide overall direction for system interfaces between the new solution and existing systems.

Identify, analyze, and manage project risks and issues in coordination with Business Analysts.

Ensure project objectives are met through coordination and direction of project activities and stakeholders.

Manage multiple project tasks, including process optimization and best practices implementation.

Oversee the development and implementation of the project solution, from design to final delivery.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Active PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (REQUIRED).

10+ years of project management experience.

Documented experience managing high-risk projects.

Completion of a COV project of $5M or more, or completion of a non-COV project valued over $10M as PM of record.

Experience in coordinating and managing RFP processes and vendor procurement.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects lasting 6 to 12 months, with teams of 3 to 4 people.

Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills.

Extensive knowledge of applications development and process optimization.

Experience in change management, facilitation, and internal/external consulting is highly preferred.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $50.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
