We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our clients in Richmond, Virginia. This role will focus on selling industrial equipment and compressor rentals to a diverse range of clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of the industrial equipment market.

Client Details

Our client is the international leader in industrial equipment rentals, compressor rentals, air compressor unit rentals, and more. With over 27 locations in the US they are looking for new sales reps to join the Richmond, VA team.

MUST be located in the Richmond, VA area and willing to travel 75% locally.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Manage Accounts:

    • Identify and target potential clients in the industrial sector.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
    • Understand clients' needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  2. Sales and Business Development:

    • Promote and sell industrial equipment and compressor rental services.
    • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the company.
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends.
  3. Customer Service and Support:

    • Provide exceptional customer service, including product demonstrations, quotes, and follow-ups.
    • Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  4. Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress.
    • Prepare and submit regular sales reports and forecasts.
  5. Collaboration:

    • Work closely with the internal team, including service technicians and support staff, to ensure customer satisfaction and effective service delivery.
    • Coordinate with marketing teams to develop and implement promotional strategies.

Profile

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in outside sales, preferably within the industrial equipment or compressor rental industry.
  • Skills: Strong sales skills with the ability to build relationships and close deals. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of industrial equipment and compressor systems is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
