Title: Web Developer Location: Reston, VA; Washington, DC; Northern Virginia National Capital Region Clearance: TS/SCI w/CI Poly Must be willing to travel up to 30%, including local travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) of Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Roles and Responsibilities Develop web projects that meet business requirements and goals Fulfill end-user requirements Identify and resolve systems issues Make appropriate recommendations Collaborate with analysts, project leads, designers, and customers Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle Write well-designed, testable, efficient code in HTML 5, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript Comfortable working on both the front-end and back-end coding environments Ensure all designs follow required specifications Ensure execution on time-sensitive projects Contribute to the team environment Help shape the culture to encourage innovative ideas Participate in peer reviews to ensure accountability and code quality Ensure 508 compliance Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to the position in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; an additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. Certifications: Certification in DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity workforce, compliance with DoD Directive 8140 Cyberspace Workforce Management, and IAT Level II. Experience: 12 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience. Experience working in a DoD or Intelligence Community Environment is desired. Experience with website and application security measures and practices. Experience with web design, UI layout, and color schemes. Skills: Strong independent work ethic (auditor mentality), exceptional oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work unsupervised. Preferred Qualifications Technical Proficiency: Minimum 10 years of experience in addition to education level. Advanced Skills: Solid JavaScript skills, including object-oriented JavaScript, jQuery, and other client-side frameworks. Solid skill and experience with HTML and CSS. Working knowledge of design, development, and maintenance of fully functional websites and web applications. Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser combability (Edge, Firefox, and Chrome), and general web functions and standards. Knowledge of Agile software development. Knowledge of SQL and experience working with various relational database management systems. Familiarity with Cloud services and tool capabilities. Knowledge of and understanding of the DoD and IC community. Multitasking and Time Management: Capable of multitasking with efficient time management and possessing a comprehensive understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and network security methodologies.
