IT Systems Administrator

We are looking for an IT Systems Administrator with a strong background in systems, network implementation, and cyber security to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in expanding and maintaining our company network environment, ensuring it meets all regulatory and security requirements. This position is located in Reston, VA, full time on-site. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary technical contact for helpdesk and IT support on various company IT issues - hardware, cloud, security, software, and network troubleshooting.
Be responsible for managing the installation and maintenance of hardware, cloud services, including installations, configurations, upgrades, license management, and user onboarding and offboarding for the company.
Lead procurement, installation, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, and other hardware used by the company.
Create, review, and execute best-in-class cybersecurity and disaster recovery processes and plans.
Promptly manage IT incidents in accordance with company policy.
Control and monitor data, network access, and backup systems.
Manage, improve, and maintain company networks and network equipment for company locations.
Collaborate with leadership to develop and communicate the IT vision, goals, and roadmap ensuring alignment with overall business strategy and objectives. Qualifications: 7-10 years of experience in IT management, network administration, or a similar role
Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field. Will substitute 4 years experience above the required 7-10 in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
Proven experience with NIST 800-171 networks and compliance requirements
Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software
Experience with security frameworks and related standards (e.g., NIST, DFARS, FISMA, SOC2).
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Extensive knowledge of Windows and Azure preferred
Knowledge of Mac OS and Linux operating systems preferred
Active Security+ Certification or equivalent
Ability to successfully obtain a federal security clearance (TS/SCI)
