RF SYSTEMS ENGINEER (REQUIRED: TS/SCI CI POLY)

The RF team advises on the development of advanced communication systems and RF sensors, supporting both terrestrial and maritime platforms. This opportunity requires a systems-based approach to architect communication solutions and RF collection systems. We're seeking a versatile RF Systems Engineer with knowledge in communication architectures, telemetry, and knowledge of waveform design to assist with architecting, designing, and operating RF communication and collection systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Spend 75% of your time using RF engineering to provide advisory support, testing support, and operations support to fielded RF systems with high-impact operations.
• Dedicate 25% of your time to Velox's IR&D, developing RF and radio solutions using COTS equipment. DAY TO DAY:
• Assisting with running operational RF equipment, including waveform parameters, and signal processing
• Understanding and analyzing telecommunications and satellite communications for various sensor platforms
• Operate RF collection systems, process and analyze data
• Perform system trade studies on RF systems including link-budget, power, SWAP
Analyze wireless systems (antenna isolation, patterns with large structures, propagation effects, etc.) BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with experience in communications, telemetry, waveform, or SDRs.
• 4+ years of professional or project experience designing, building, or testing RF systems
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and self-motivation to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI CI Poly BONUS SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master's degree in electrical engineering
• Hands on experience with test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer, power meters, and RF passive components
• Experience with RF chamber operation
• Experience with Python, MATLAB, or C/C++ programming for data analysis, waveform design, or test equipment interfacing
• Experience with cellular networks and telecommunications
